Susie Black Delivers Another Cozy Mystery Hit:
With each book, the charm of Holly and her companions increasingly captivates me. Holly, our central figure, consistently delivers a dose of humor—keeping me ‘in stitches’ with her antics. The author’s ingenious approach to weaving the narrative and fleshing out the characters is brilliant. Holly emerges as a force of nature, fearlessly risking it all to exonerate someone she harbors no fondness for, who has been wrongfully imprisoned. As an admirer of Janet Evanovich’s tales featuring a trouble-prone bail bondswoman torn between two lovers, I find Black’s stories with two lovers equally compelling. In this installment, jellybeans amusingly take on a life of their own, adding a delightful twist whenever they appear. I wholeheartedly endorse this novel for anyone seeking a blend of suspense and laughter, as Holly’s escapades never fail to entertain.
