Here is Terry’s review:
Susie Black has created the ultimate cozy mystery series. Death by Cutting Table is the latest delightful—if deadly—entry, and it brings all the humor, imminent danger, and plot twists I’ve come to love.
Our amateur sleuth, Holly Schlivnik, is knee-deep into investigating another murder when her friend Queenie Levine is accused of pinning Mermaid Swimwear CEO Butch Oldham to a cutting table like the butterflies he collects.
The Holly Swimsuit Mystery series ticks off none of the typical fare of the cozy mystery genre. It’s set in Los Angeles instead of a small town. Holly is a high-powered executive, not a bookstore or coffee shop owner. And that’s exactly where its strength lies.
It’s a breath of fresh air that rises above all the rest in an otherwise crowded genre. Black is at her best with Death by Cutting Table. With an eye for the unusual and the absurd, she gifts us with a laugh-out-loud story with plot twists that will keep you turning the pages and guessing who the real killer is.
The book, though, should come with a warning decal: May be hazardous to your sleep.
I enthusiastically recommend Death by Cutting Table. https://books2read.com/u/4jva15
Loved this book, just like everything I've read by Susie Black!
